About the event
2025 has been named by the Greek Ministry of Culture as The Year of Mikis Theodorakis. As one of the most important figures in Greek culture, Theodorakis was the first composer to set poetry to music, fusing poems from Greece's most famous poets with traditional Greek music, bringing it to the lips and hearts of all Greeks. To honour this, our 4th annual Celebration of Poetry and Music will be highlighting the work of Mikis Theodorakis and some of his fellow poet collaborators at the Tranzac Club on April 13th. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door!
